We had pretty good seeing though! We didn't open until about 21:00 while NM08 was taking cals. Fiducial error too large in az at 00:56 ish, did an ms.dump. Probably due to large slew in opposite direction after tracking setting target for a long time. B-half observer was unable to observe due to local power outages, but was able to provide instructions for service observing. Happy solar eclipse day! ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:19 kosmos 150( 710) 69 38 2.2 4.1 3.9 4.2 2.6 -- 1.29 00:40 arctic 450( 915) 130 79 3.4 1.5 3.0 2.2 2.6 SDSS_i 0.71 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 42 2 16 268 (W) 475 mstly clr none 17:00 43 -2 14 263 (W) 560 mstly clr none 18:00 44 -1 12 264 (W) 584 ptly cldy none 19:00 39 -1 10 234 (SW) 609 ptly cldy none 20:00 37 -3 19 226 (SW) 783 mstly clr none 21:00 36 1 15 213 (SSW) 745 mstly clr none 22:00 36 2 14 235 (SW) 923 mstly clr none 23:00 38 -2 10 238 (WSW) 920 mstly clr none 00:00 37 4 14 259 (W) 931 mstly clr none 01:00 37 7 11 265 (W) 981 mstly clr none 02:00 38 6 11 260 (W) 1012 ptly cldy none 03:00 38 8 7 257 (WSW) 1089 ptly cldy none 04:00 37 9 8 261 (W) 1110 ptly cldy none 05:00 38 8 9 233 (SW) 1153 ptly cldy none 06:00 37 9 8 258 (WSW) 1133 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
