Given the high pollen, there was no chance of opening tonight. - Nicfps was down yesterday and, after rebooting the nicfps computer, I was able to get nicfps back reading exposures again. - I could not access /export/arcsat from ObsA. I tried ssh-ing into tron and also couldn't reach arcsat. It was fine with Obs1 and 3. - We were NOT able to run KOSMOS focus because we could not get on sky. - Russet ran DIS contamination and we were both confused as to why the red counts were so low. Either though we both looked, each of us thought we read that the R300 grating was installed when, in reality, the R830 was installed, which would explain the lower counts. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 58 19 15 213 (SSW) 1002 cloudy none 17:00 59 20 14 239 (WSW) 1070 cloudy none 18:00 57 19 16 223 (SW) 1260 mstly cldy none 19:00 56 20 16 231 (SW) 1122 mstly cldy none 20:00 54 18 17 215 (SW) 1344 mstly cldy none 21:00 54 20 19 212 (SSW) 1513 mstly cldy none 22:00 53 19 9 228 (SW) 1803 mstly cldy none 23:00 53 20 13 214 (SW) 1743 ptly cldy none 00:00 51 20 13 227 (SW) 1658 ptly cldy none 01:00 50 19 8 213 (SSW) 1535 mstly cldy none 02:00 50 17 9 224 (SW) 1240 mstly cldy none 03:00 49 14 13 234 (SW) 918 cloudy none 04:00 48 12 14 242 (WSW) 788 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
