We were able to do a couple runs with the laser, but then things got too hot. Russet looked at the chiller and found it was frozen and must have occurred a day or two ago. Mark was the obs spec during the laser training and I took over at 22:00. The sky was clear for the laser but we had high, thin clouds for the rest of the night, none of which caused any issues and we had good seeing. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:47 kosmos 327( 1179) 63 43 10.2 10.4 10.9 10.0 10.4 -- 0.90 01:33 arctic 415( 1308) 2 57 11.4 10.4 11.0 10.3 10.9 sdss-r 0.82 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 60 24 18 223 (SW) 1517 clear none 17:00 59 24 14 264 (W) 1182 clear none 18:00 59 26 13 258 (WSW) 1160 clear none 19:00 55 25 10 262 (W) 1213 clear none 20:00 51 27 8 210 (SSW) 1149 clear none 21:00 51 26 9 191 (S) 1179 mstly clr none 22:00 51 25 13 214 (SW) 1302 mstly clr none 23:00 51 30 9 218 (SW) 1792 mstly clr none 00:00 52 25 6 259 (W) 1375 mstly clr none 01:00 52 25 11 248 (WSW) 1415 mstly clr none 02:00 52 28 15 237 (WSW) 1521 mstly clr none 03:00 51 30 13 232 (SW) 1591 mstly clr none 04:00 51 32 9 187 (S) 2040 mstly clr none 05:00 51 33 17 201 (SSW) 1607 mstly clr none 06:00 49 32 12 228 (SW) 1397 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
