Indoor optidew showed a weird reading around 22:45. One fiducial error too large az warning around 04:40 but it happened at the start of a slew after tracking for a while. Wind and dust finally abated and we were able to open after 22:30. Seeing was atrocious but the sky was otherwise clear. A few thin clouds showed up after 01:00 but the seeing also improved, and though the wind got a little gustier again after it shifted to the north, we were able to stay open for the rest of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:50 kosmos 400( 1017) 40 49 3.0 5.4 6.9 5.3 3.6 -- 3.50 00:10 ecamera 389( -252) -149 67 1.7 1.3 2.9 1.8 1.8 ND3 1.59 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 52 4 26 254 (WSW) 6791 clear dust 17:00 52 6 33 287 (WNW) 15112 clear dust 18:00 49 7 32 287 (WNW) 57743 clear dust 19:00 46 10 28 269 (W) 15940 clear dust 20:00 43 11 25 268 (W) 38033 clear dust 21:00 42 11 30 288 (WNW) 5066 clear dust 22:00 39 7 23 281 (W) 3236 clear none 23:00 37 4 14 280 (W) 1557 clear none 00:00 36 4 23 307 (NW) 1373 clear none 01:00 35 6 12 332 (NNW) 1043 mstly clr none 02:00 35 7 8 277 (W) 853 mstly clr none 03:00 34 10 1 209 (SSW) 650 mstly clr none 04:00 34 11 13 19 (NNE) 867 mstly clr none 05:00 34 15 25 12 (NNE) 642 mstly clr none 06:00 32 15 28 20 (NNE) 644 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
