The class completed their day tour in ample time for A Half to collect cals and have a productive session. The class returned for B half which started with eyepiece time under very nice skies. Two different class projects were undertaken by CU01 using KOSMOS with Candace expertly guiding them along the way. Echelle Dewar 1 had fill times ranging from 534 to 664 seconds, contrast Dewar 2 of only 4 seconds as expected during the decontamination processing. Darks and biases underway until 07:00 ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:58 kosmos 228( 762) 129 53 2.4 3.8 4.3 3.2 2.6 - 1.56 01:48 klow 396( 780) 199 47 2.0 0.5 1.4 0.7 1.3 - 1.34 02:47 kosmos 357( 735) 141 54 1.7 0.5 1.4 0.8 1.2 - 1.38 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 42 20 11 263 (W) 1655 mstly clr none 17:00 43 18 22 255 (WSW) 950 mstly clr none 18:00 39 18 19 260 (W) 655 clear none 19:00 37 18 15 250 (WSW) 631 clear none 20:00 35 18 13 238 (WSW) 505 clear none 21:00 35 18 10 212 (SSW) 553 clear none 22:00 35 19 5 244 (WSW) 681 clear none 23:00 36 18 8 257 (WSW) 590 clear none 00:00 36 16 8 231 (SW) 559 clear none 01:00 35 13 12 235 (SW) 568 clear none 02:00 35 11 14 276 (W) 509 mstly clr none 03:00 36 9 15 280 (W) 405 ptly cldy none 04:00 35 8 12 271 (W) 399 mstly clr none 05:00 34 10 11 271 (W) 426 ptly cldy none 06:00 33 14 11 300 (WNW) 531 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
