Virga, virga, virga. No hope of opening. UW01 was observing a transit and needed to be on sky by 3:30 am. The moon wasn't even visible, much less stars. And after about 2 am, lots of wind. We gusted up to 40 mph, and the wind wasn't even supposed to start until tomorrow afternoon! There were email error about the ion pump for arctic, but all was good! No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 46 12 22 211 (SSW) 1345 cloudy none 17:00 46 11 20 204 (SSW) 1366 cloudy none 18:00 45 11 24 226 (SW) 1244 cloudy none 19:00 44 10 20 212 (SSW) 1402 cloudy none 20:00 43 9 22 214 (SW) 1576 cloudy none 21:00 44 10 21 203 (SSW) 1547 cloudy none 22:00 43 10 22 210 (SSW) 1857 cloudy none 23:00 43 9 29 232 (SW) 1958 cloudy none 00:00 43 10 22 204 (SSW) 1455 cloudy none 01:00 45 11 24 189 (S) 1394 cloudy none 02:00 43 10 17 205 (SSW) 1774 cloudy none 03:00 44 11 32 218 (SW) 1725 cloudy none 04:00 44 14 28 220 (SW) 1332 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
