The clouds were so thick we couldn't see the moon. Eventually the band moved and we were able to get some clearer skies for B half. The winds were reaching near the limit but we were able to point east and avoid any issues. The seeing was not very good and the temperatures really started dropping near dawn as the snow storm came closer. The echelle has been doing great! The loss in LN2 between fills seems (so far) to be back to normal. No problems tonight. We they are saying winds can reach 80 mph tomorrow so I won't be surprised if there are some power outages. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 02:13 ecamera 288( -179) 193 43 4.0 4.6 5.1 4.6 4.0 Clear 1.65 05:58 ecamera 532( -160) 261 71 0.5 0.3 1.2 0.4 0.4 Clear 1.64 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 48 20 19 213 (SSW) 1248 cloudy none 17:00 47 18 21 233 (SW) 1120 cloudy none 18:00 46 14 21 212 (SSW) 888 cloudy none 19:00 46 14 16 210 (SSW) 1390 cloudy none 20:00 46 13 24 221 (SW) 2222 cloudy none 21:00 44 13 20 215 (SW) 5140 cloudy none 22:00 43 13 18 235 (SW) 1383 cloudy none 23:00 42 14 23 245 (WSW) 1110 cloudy none 00:00 41 15 21 248 (WSW) 1152 cloudy none 01:00 39 16 17 234 (SW) 985 cloudy none 02:00 39 15 20 259 (W) 845 mstly cldy none 03:00 37 15 23 263 (W) 943 mstly clr none 04:00 36 15 15 242 (WSW) 886 mstly clr none 05:00 34 18 18 266 (W) 997 ptly cldy none 06:00 33 19 21 213 (SSW) 1201 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
