I did a startNubs to fix, which did not work. I am getting a connection refused error. I tried power cycling the Leach controller but that didn't fix anything, still connection refused error. I missed that Bill had also mentioned the issue in the 3.5m daylog. ObsA internet connectivity seemed really sluggish at 17:00 this afternoon. Web pages, including onsite wiki pages, were slow to load. The night log also took a little longer than usual to populate. Speeds were so-so during the course of the night. Not sure if this is just on site or also offsite, but my observers didn't mention any issues. JH01 was able to collect some useful photons, even with the pesky clouds. They gave up at 23:30. There was some confusion tonight regarding the JH03 program tonight. The observer was not aware they were observing, or even had a proposal. They also said they never received a setup reminder email. They were also supposed to be trained with the JH01 group but didn't attend that either. Luckily the JH04 program that was going to use DIS the last part of the JH01 time was able to take the time. Motion error on Alt drive at 04:14 going down that halted the drive. I stopped the drives and restarted them then did a MS.DUMP @ 04:17:07 once my observer finished the slew to his target. 2024-03-14 10:14:42 .tcc.0 0 tcc w BadAltStatus; AltStat=48.301189,-0.000510,5217128082.60000,0x0c006001; AltDTime=0.13 My 2nd half observer also needed to restart his TUI a couple of times. The DIS slitviewer image stopped updating on him. He was running TUI 3.1.3 on a MacOS 10.16-x86. No telescope issues tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:27 arctic 375( 982) 120 56 3.0 4.3 4.7 4.4 3.2 SDSS_i 0.99 02:06 dcamera 603( 800) 10 74 0.7 0.5 1.3 0.7 0.8 -- 1.40 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 46 21 29 259 (W) 1976 ptly cldy none 17:00 43 20 39 267 (W) 2144 ptly cldy dust 18:00 41 21 23 265 (W) 5082 mstly cldy dust 19:00 39 22 23 280 (W) 9091 cloudy none 20:00 38 22 20 272 (W) 4944 cloudy none 21:00 38 23 17 282 (WNW) 2793 ptly cldy none 22:00 37 23 18 279 (W) 1710 mstly cldy none 23:00 37 22 16 267 (W) 1268 cloudy none 00:00 35 23 23 273 (W) 1387 cloudy none 01:00 35 23 19 264 (W) 1318 cloudy none 02:00 34 23 18 266 (W) 1538 ptly cldy none 03:00 33 22 16 255 (WSW) 1326 ptly cldy none 04:00 32 22 17 274 (W) 1359 ptly cldy none 05:00 32 22 14 270 (W) 1358 mstly clr none 06:00 32 22 17 262 (W) 1507 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
