JH01 finished an hour early and gave their remaining time to another JHU program, JH04. Clouds kept the UW02 program from starting on time. My observer also had a meeting and asked me to service observe for them. I finally was able to get KOSMOS focused and start taking science data at 02:55. No telescope problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:27 APOLLO 450( 1853) -84 32 5.6 6.4 6.8 6.1 5.7 -- 1.50 19:58 arctic 545( 1206) -153 66 5.4 5.6 6.2 5.5 5.4 SDSS_i 0.77 19:59 NA2gdr -1785(36214) -152 66 5.3 5.6 6.2 5.5 5.3 Clear 1.09 20:47 dcamera 553( 969) 218 61 5.0 5.0 5.7 4.9 4.9 -- 1.26 22:45 arctic 456( 1071) 95 43 4.8 4.3 4.9 4.3 4.7 SDSS_i 1.26 22:45 NA2gdr -1195(36804) 95 44 4.8 4.3 4.9 4.3 4.7 clear 1.41 00:11 dcamera 484( 969) 82 62 4.6 4.4 4.9 4.5 4.6 -- 2.30 02:43 KOSMOS 456( 1071) 341 74 3.7 3.8 4.3 3.9 3.8 -- 3.10 04:28 arctic 475( 969) 239 41 2.5 1.7 3.2 2.6 2.6 SDSS_g 2.10 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 50 10 14 221 (SW) 2702 clear none 17:00 47 12 13 263 (W) 2296 clear none 18:00 47 13 20 254 (WSW) 2525 clear none 19:00 42 11 18 263 (W) 2065 mstly clr none 20:00 42 11 20 265 (W) 1976 ptly cldy none 21:00 41 13 19 269 (W) 1691 ptly cldy none 22:00 41 13 23 264 (W) 2206 ptly cldy none 23:00 41 12 18 263 (W) 2636 ptly cldy none 00:00 40 13 19 266 (W) 1782 mstly cldy none 01:00 40 13 15 264 (W) 1478 cloudy none 02:00 40 15 17 256 (WSW) 1323 cloudy none 03:00 38 16 13 236 (SW) 1306 mstly clr none 04:00 37 15 25 263 (W) 1498 mstly clr none 05:00 36 15 14 266 (W) 1403 clear none 06:00 36 15 17 268 (W) 1329 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
