I started the snow program when the snow started. It only lightly showed for maybe 30 mins and then stopped. The clouds stuck around the rest of the night. I gave p at 05:15 when my observers had told me earlier that they needed a minimum of 1.5 hrs of clear sky. I filled NICFPS, TSPEC, and KOSMOS in the morning. Fills go faster when I fill TSPEC 2x, well until I run 2 dewars dry doing my fills this morning. I left the dome parked at 104,75, but only the 3.5m control room stop button is active, so I can start my snow program without having to run up the stairs to release the other buttons. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 31 3 11 257 (WSW) 110 mstly cldy none 17:00 30 8 9 212 (SSW) 150 mstly cldy none 18:00 27 7 6 193 (SSW) 556 mstly cldy none 19:00 28 0 9 237 (WSW) 204 cloudy none 20:00 28 1 8 202 (SSW) 208 cloudy none 21:00 28 5 12 240 (WSW) 263 cloudy none 22:00 29 5 14 192 (SSW) 292 cloudy none 23:00 28 14 16 212 (SSW) 480 cloudy none 00:00 28 16 17 219 (SW) 578 cloudy none 01:00 27 15 19 210 (SSW) 527 cloudy lt snow 02:00 26 15 13 226 (SW) 629 cloudy none 03:00 23 20 20 262 (W) 6859 cloudy humid 04:00 23 18 25 217 (SW) cloudy none 05:00 24 16 18 242 (WSW) 765 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
