High clouds and degraded seeing made observations difficult during second half, and the observer gave up on science before 4 am, but we stayed open for a few experiments and pretty pictures. I closed at 5 am with radar approaching. The TCS program for ARCSAT had a time-sync problem, and I was again/still unable to revive DIS. Everything else we used tonight worked well. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:02 tcamera 696( 1661) 139 67 6.1 8.8 7.7 8.8 8.1 Ks 1.18 19:32 tcamera 396( 1271) 91 62 7.1 6.9 6.8 6.4 6.6 Ks 1.03 21:14 kimage 365( 995) 244 70 6.6 6.0 6.6 5.8 5.9 - 0.65 01:36 kimage 365( 994) 59 29 5.3 5.3 6.0 5.4 5.4 - 1.34 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 47 15 5 213 (SSW) 94 mstly clr none 17:00 46 4 4 193 (SSW) 87 mstly clr none 18:00 44 -5 7 187 (S) 66 mstly clr none 19:00 44 -7 6 186 (S) 69 clear none 20:00 44 -8 7 182 (S) 62 clear none 21:00 43 -6 8 184 (S) 62 clear none 22:00 44 -6 2 185 (S) 54 mstly clr none 23:00 43 -6 13 160 (SSE) 64 mstly clr none 00:00 44 -7 14 142 (SE) 77 mstly clr none 01:00 45 -6 9 164 (SSE) 58 ptly cldy none 02:00 44 -1 13 159 (SSE) 100 ptly cldy none 03:00 43 -3 18 167 (SSE) 95 ptly cldy none 04:00 42 6 13 178 (S) 249 mstly cldy none 05:00 39 13 15 169 (S) 451 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
