Observing Specialist: A.Townsend
At the start of the night we had high winds that were blowing in dust (max of about 25,000 1-micron counts) and it was completely overcast. The wind and dust dropped around 20:45 so we opened despite the clouds, but the only target we were able to see at all between the clouds was Sirius so we closed back up.
We gave up around 04:45 when it was obvious the clouds weren't going to improve enough before sunrise for observations.
