The tertiary mirror had disconnected at some point in the afternoon and we didn't catch it until UV02 went on sky. We initially thought it was an issue with pointing as the echelle target was two FOVs away from the slit. We also tried to focus when troubleshooting the offset and were given the following echelle errors: Errors during an attempt to focus with the echelle script produced the following: Failed: tcc set focus=... failed: Sub-command(s) failed: move -629.9657,543.1905,455.9938,0.9000,- offset boresight 0.0000000, 0.... failed: Sub-command(s) failed: move -629.9657,543.1905,455.9938 This is when we realized there was an issue with the tertiary connection and it had disconnected from tcc. The issue was resolved by restarting the tertiary in tcc (PR2190 was sent) and we had no further tertiary problems. Before switching over to kosmos, the calstage and kcamera focus were hung on Moving and Homing, respectively. We were able to resolve the issue with hubs startNubs kosmos, hubs startNubs kosmosExpose, and kosmos conndev and GS01 let UV02 expose until 00:12. Since this fell into switch over time, Candace said to not count this as time lost. Since it would be a change from 00:10 to 00:12, it was also not marked as time donated. The echelle fills were monitored. The initial fill showed the fills occurred over 3 to 7 minutes, Similar times were seen throughout the night similar to the initial check (below). 2024-02-16 00:18:34 APO.Mark 19 echelle i TDStxt="FILL_1_DEWAR_1 379 " 2024-02-16 00:18:34 APO.Mark 19 echelle i TDStxt="FILL_1_DEWAR_2 109 " 2024-02-16 00:18:34 APO.Mark 19 echelle i TDStxt="FILL_2_DEWAR_1 354 " 2024-02-16 00:18:34 APO.Mark 19 echelle i TDStxt="FILL_2_DEWAR_2 209 " The echelle inter-order lights were monitored and show a decline in the blue falling from 44 to 25.5 over the past two days. PR2191 was submitted. Mark continued training being exposed to troubleshooting on both Echelle and KOSMOS, including how to generate PRs and updating the wiki. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UV02 ECHELLE T/S 18:55 20:05 tertiary lost connection ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:06 ecamera 458( -162) -62 43 2.2 1.4 2.7 2.1 2.2 ND5 1.83 00:59 khigh 531( 901) 178 80 1.3 0.6 1.6 1.0 1.0 - 2.49 01:59 khigh 538( 891) 0 79 0.2 0.2 1.0 0.3 0.4 - 2.50 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 41 11 11 221 (SW) 888 mstly cldy none 17:00 39 12 11 226 (SW) 741 mstly cldy none 18:00 36 11 14 222 (SW) 753 mstly cldy none 19:00 36 11 12 257 (WSW) 747 mstly cldy none 20:00 36 10 11 256 (WSW) 723 mstly cldy none 21:00 35 10 10 249 (WSW) 704 mstly cldy none 22:00 36 9 20 239 (WSW) 679 mstly cldy none 23:00 36 9 16 262 (W) 677 mstly cldy none 00:00 36 8 15 264 (W) 672 mstly cldy none 01:00 35 6 21 273 (W) 724 ptly cldy none 02:00 33 10 19 294 (WNW) 521 mstly clr none 03:00 33 8 18 307 (NW) 583 mstly clr none 04:00 32 8 17 316 (NW) 517 mstly clr none 05:00 32 8 17 328 (NNW) 528 mstly clr none 06:00 31 9 9 338 (NNW) 477 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
