It was pretty warm today and even after sunset ambient temps were still hovering around 0C, so it took a while for the mirrors to cool off. By that time winds had picked up a little bit. We opened up after midnight when the mirrors had finally cooled off and the wind dropped back down. Seeing was pretty good and we were able to take advantage of the clear sky for the rest of the night! ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:16 arctic 396( 765) -69 63 -2.1 -0.7 -0.7 -0.9 -1.1 SDSS_r 1.01 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 36 15 7 23 (NNE) 169 clear none 17:00 35 13 1 58 (ENE) 48 clear none 18:00 32 9 7 4 (N) 63 clear none 19:00 32 8 8 10 (N) 28 clear none 20:00 32 10 9 354 (N) 21 clear none 21:00 31 10 13 22 (NNE) 45 clear none 22:00 32 9 10 3 (N) 86 clear none 23:00 31 12 10 358 (N) 183 clear none 00:00 31 12 10 358 (N) 147 clear none 01:00 31 12 9 356 (N) 117 clear none 02:00 28 11 8 357 (N) 141 clear none 03:00 31 11 8 341 (NNW) 140 clear none 04:00 30 12 8 305 (NW) 126 clear none 05:00 29 11 5 262 (W) 154 clear none 06:00 30 9 8 318 (NW) 215 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
