Oh and primary mirror below freezing, like that is going to be an issue tonight when it is a frosty -7C outside. Clouds and humidity kept us closed, then the clouds went away but the humidity stayed and brought us some higher winds that kept us closed. Humidity dropped but the winds didn't get the memo. Then clouds came back with the humidity. We never opened tonight. When the sky cleared it was either too windy or too humid, or both. My observer called it at 05:10 with humidity having been over the limit for the past several hours and no signs of change. The wind was also over the limit. Telescope parked due South to hopefully help clear the ramining snow on the enclosure. Only the 3.5m stop button is engaged in case Bill want's to move the telescope to other positions. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 19 18 9 38 (NE) cloudy humid 17:00 19 18 7 27 (NNE) ptly cldy humid 18:00 19 18 2 246 (WSW) ptly cldy humid 19:00 18 16 9 360 (N) clear humid 20:00 19 13 6 352 (N) clear none 21:00 20 12 14 357 (N) clear none 22:00 20 14 8 354 (N) mstly cldy none 23:00 20 17 10 309 (NW) cloudy humid 00:00 20 18 7 304 (NW) cloudy humid 01:00 19 18 8 322 (NW) mstly cldy humid 02:00 19 18 11 293 (WNW) ptly cldy humid 03:00 18 18 11 321 (NW) ptly cldy humid 04:00 19 18 9 303 (WNW) mstly clr humid 05:00 18 17 9 3 (N) mstly clr humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
