I started the snow program running around 15:20 and let it run all night long. We got about 1/2 to 1 inch of new snow overnight (3AM) but... The low just passed to our east an hour or so ago and the wrap-around of the system is just starting to hit us at 03:00. There looks to be moisture in the west side of the storm that is now hitting us so I am not sure if we will get significantly more or not. I did shovel the ramp and path to the door as well as the front porch of the Obs building in the afternoon. I was expecting the storm to dump more snow on us overnight but that didn't materialize. I will get up in the late moring to see if the systems is going to dump more and either use the snow-blower or Kubota, depending upon final amount, to clear the sidewalks to the buildings. I parked dome due West per Russet's instructions (in case we get some sun today) Did instrument fills at 04:00 and stopped snow program. Snow was coming down pretty good at 04:20. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 20 20 12 280 (W) cloudy none 17:00 21 20 7 263 (W) cloudy lt snow 18:00 21 19 9 213 (SSW) cloudy none 19:00 21 21 10 223 (SW) cloudy lt snow 20:00 20 18 13 221 (SW) cloudy lt snow 21:00 20 19 9 192 (SSW) cloudy lt snow 22:00 20 19 17 199 (SSW) cloudy lt snow 23:00 20 18 19 200 (SSW) cloudy lt snow 00:00 20 18 12 191 (S) cloudy humid 01:00 19 17 8 194 (SSW) cloudy humid 02:00 20 17 6 209 (SSW) cloudy humid 03:00 20 17 2 335 (NNW) cloudy snow 04:00 19 17 10 350 (N) cloudy snow Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
