Every now and then it looked like it would improve but then it shot right back up. Russet was able to do some good test with in dome satellite tracking and laser firing, with Bill and Torrie training on the process. Around 2:30am we had a VERY strange event occur. While doing dome slews and engaging the nicfps dither script it seemed that TUI had crashed. In reality, it seemed to just come grinding to a crawl. It too 1-2 min between clicking a truss lamp and the lamp coming on. There were also a lot of failed login attempts. I wondered if we were hacked and emailed Shane. However, Shane said there were no attempts. The failed logings are still shown in the Users window. Torrie and Amanda logged in and attempted to help me trouble shoot. They seemed to connect just fine so maybe it was me? After about 10 min, everything came back just fine. I sent a PR about the event. By 5:30am we called it quits; there wasn't going to be enough time to collect anything meaningful. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 33 31 2 243 (WSW) mstly cldy fog 17:00 31 30 7 288 (WNW) mstly cldy fog 18:00 30 30 4 337 (NNW) mstly cldy fog 19:00 30 30 2 338 (NNW) mstly cldy fog 20:00 30 29 6 8 (N) mstly cldy humid 21:00 30 29 8 0 (N) mstly clr humid 22:00 31 28 9 352 (N) mstly clr humid 23:00 32 27 9 329 (NNW) mstly clr humid 00:00 30 29 7 309 (NW) cloudy fog 01:00 29 29 14 294 (WNW) cloudy fog 02:00 30 28 13 280 (W) mstly clr fog 03:00 30 28 15 281 (W) mstly clr humid 04:00 30 26 12 307 (NW) clear humid 05:00 30 26 17 302 (WNW) clear humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
