Russet then checked collimation with Shack-Hartmann. Russet then showed me how to fix pointing on the echelle (wiki info is out of date). I updated the new wiki with this information. 100 point pointing model, about 50 points taken before clouds started being a problem. I reduced and implemented the model using about 45 stars, after rejecting a couple. Spot checked with NA2 guider on a couple bright stars (we had clouds) that looked good. Spot checked with Echelle, looked good. I did not adjust the pointing here as it was about as good as earlier. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:44 APOLLO 225( 1348) 84 40 1.1 0.6 1.1 0.6 0.7 -- 1.10 23:11 shack 260( 1235) 71 54 0.6 0.4 1.1 0.4 0.2 -- 1.00 00:35 guider 283( 754) 32 67 3.3 0.5 1.4 0.7 1.5 R+ND2 1.42 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 35 1 4 327 (NNW) 47 cloudy none 17:00 34 -2 1 347 (NNW) 45 cloudy none 18:00 34 -3 8 344 (NNW) 45 mstly cldy none 19:00 34 -2 11 354 (N) 38 mstly cldy none 20:00 35 -1 8 344 (NNW) 54 mstly cldy none 21:00 40 -12 10 347 (NNW) 148 mstly cldy none 22:00 34 -5 5 352 (N) 106 mstly cldy none 23:00 32 -7 7 351 (N) 23 mstly cldy none 00:00 38 -11 8 327 (NNW) 139 mstly cldy none 01:00 39 -13 9 334 (NNW) 153 mstly cldy none 02:00 42 -7 10 305 (NW) 108 cloudy none 03:00 41 -7 7 327 (NNW) 115 cloudy none 04:00 43 -8 6 264 (W) 75 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
