It was sticking to the ground but the ground was too warm so it didn't stick long. They are saying more tonight, stay tuned. I could not move the NA2 rotator during checkout (and later I could not move the alt/az axis either). I needed to reset the drive controllers to fix. Clouods, humidity, and a little dusting of snow kept us closed all night. Morning fills will be carried out by the daystaff per Bill for MST. I did not do any moring fills. We also got a dusting of snow that stuck to the ground, as of 04:00. Roads may be slick as the temps has dropped below freezing for the past several hours. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BY04 KOSMOS T/H --:-- --:-- Rot1 drive cocntrller needed to be rebooted at start of the night. ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 34 32 22 237 (WSW) cloudy lt snow 17:00 34 32 13 254 (WSW) cloudy fog 18:00 33 33 10 257 (WSW) cloudy fog 19:00 35 32 27 247 (WSW) cloudy lt rain 20:00 32 33 14 265 (W) cloudy fog 21:00 33 32 21 261 (W) cloudy fog 22:00 34 32 15 266 (W) cloudy fog 23:00 33 32 22 200 (SSW) cloudy fog 00:00 30 32 22 228 (SW) cloudy lt snow 01:00 28 30 24 201 (SSW) cloudy fog 02:00 28 29 21 203 (SSW) cloudy fog 03:00 27 28 20 235 (SW) cloudy lt snow 04:00 27 28 18 233 (SW) cloudy lt snow Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
