Counts got up past 70k for 1micron particle size at one point. But it started to die down and got to a manageable point around 11pm. Weather prevented JH04 from being able to use their time. We gave up on using Nicfps around 11pm. Dust counts were higher in dome than outside around midnight. (7k inside dome and 3k outside) May be worth checking and making sure the press fans are working properly. Once dust and wind cleared, clouds and radar moved in. Gave up just before 6:30am. Radar and clouds never cleared enough in time for productive science to take place. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 57 26 17 216 (SW) 18288 mstly cldy dust 17:00 53 25 33 204 (SSW) 18525 mstly cldy dust 18:00 52 26 24 232 (SW) 55708 mstly cldy dust 19:00 52 28 23 210 (SSW) 69210 cloudy dust 20:00 51 28 19 233 (SW) 45528 cloudy dust 21:00 50 29 23 229 (SW) 26765 cloudy dust 22:00 49 30 28 234 (SW) 9855 cloudy dust 23:00 48 32 26 249 (WSW) 4140 cloudy dust 00:00 48 34 23 266 (W) 3427 cloudy none 01:00 46 33 16 244 (WSW) 2721 cloudy none 02:00 44 31 17 261 (W) 2436 cloudy none 03:00 43 29 18 257 (WSW) 2148 cloudy none 04:00 42 32 26 269 (W) 2003 cloudy humid 05:00 40 31 19 264 (W) 1983 cloudy humid 06:00 39 33 13 262 (W) cloudy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
