Stopped observing at 9:48pm due to high wind gusts, but were able to resume a few minutes later. Not much lost time, and the dome never closed. The wind was a pest throughout the night. Never bad enough to close, but high enough to keep me on edge all night. No major problems with the telescope. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:50 ecamera 357( 323) 45 63 13.4 14.2 14.5 13.5 13.4 clear 0.94 21:59 ecamera 380( 272) 104 71 12.8 12.7 13.4 12.8 12.4 clear 1.11 01:26 kosmos 305( 1184) 140 59 11.5 11.2 12.0 11.1 11.0 -- 0.93 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 62 23 14 257 (WSW) 961 clear none 17:00 62 24 16 238 (WSW) 970 clear none 18:00 58 23 16 240 (WSW) 1284 clear none 19:00 56 24 19 222 (SW) 872 clear none 20:00 57 24 25 228 (SW) 1965 clear none 21:00 56 24 18 242 (WSW) 2719 clear dust 22:00 55 23 22 227 (SW) 2182 clear dust 23:00 56 23 14 234 (SW) 2001 clear dust 00:00 55 23 17 192 (SSW) 1474 clear none 01:00 53 24 24 209 (SSW) 1471 clear none 02:00 52 25 25 222 (SW) 1556 clear none 03:00 51 27 23 221 (SW) 1347 clear none 04:00 50 27 18 227 (SW) 1392 clear none 05:00 50 27 23 221 (SW) 1055 clear none 06:00 50 27 29 221 (SW) 1052 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
