It was almost 22:00 before the clouds starting clearing up and the radar from the nearby clouds was no longer threatening. We opened up with pretty good seeing. We had visible-by-eye aurora again tonight! UW01 donated the time after 23:45 to CU02 as their target would be >85 alt for most of the rest of A-half. I had to restart ARCSAT software once tonight due to a Library Support error, and the guidescope cap has been removed. No telescope or instrument problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:55 arctic 199( 1273) 97 63 14.3 14.4 14.6 14.3 14.0 SDSS_u 1.11 23:57 arctic 263( 1284) 229 69 13.5 13.3 13.9 13.1 13.2 ARCTIC_4170 1.31 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 59 30 7 88 (E) 1137 cloudy lt rain 17:00 61 29 1 200 (SSW) 957 cloudy none 18:00 60 29 8 74 (ENE) 980 cloudy none 19:00 59 27 5 99 (E) 921 mstly cldy none 20:00 59 27 7 163 (SSE) 1029 mstly cldy none 21:00 58 25 7 177 (S) 1003 ptly cldy none 22:00 58 26 8 180 (S) 966 mstly clr none 23:00 58 26 11 158 (SSE) 1003 mstly clr none 00:00 57 24 12 181 (S) 1015 mstly clr none 01:00 58 22 11 185 (S) 1057 clear none 02:00 58 24 8 190 (S) 1358 clear none 03:00 58 26 3 209 (SSW) 1377 clear none 04:00 57 26 6 266 (W) 1192 clear none 05:00 58 25 6 277 (W) 1116 clear none 06:00 57 25 9 303 (WNW) 1069 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
