Observing Specialist: A.Townsend
We tried opening at the start of the night with just clouds, but they were
too thick to even get a bright star to focus on, so we closed back up.
Opened back up at 22:15 when the clouds got thinner, though humidity
started to rise.
By the start of OU05's program the humidity was close to the limit and we
were able to focus through the clouds, but even their brighter target was
impossible to get through the clouds. We closed up and the humidity
continued to get worse. We gave up around 3:30 as the humidity was still
high and there would not be enough time for the long exposures required
for science on faint targets.
No telescope or (new) instrument problems.
