I turned the roof heaters on at around 13:00 this afternoon and re-oriented the enclosure to the SSE. Snow and snow drifts were still visible on the roof cameras at sunset. Hopefully the sun tomorrow will be able to melt the remaining snow. I left the roof heaters running as long as the temps were above -3C outside. Echelle @ 225lbs during afternoon fill @ 18:00 filled to 284lbs I turned the ARCSAT bypass on so we could use ARCSAT tonight with the SDSS/3.5m domes closed. I set it per instructions to permanent so I wouldn't keep closing every 90 mins on my observer. We have an issue with DIS red camera not taking biases correctly, uniform blank image with no noise. All values seem to be 127. PR submitted. Russet and I tried to diagnose/fix the issue to no avail. Echelle @ 224lbs @ 06:00, filled to 284lbs Dome left parked due south as I think this may have the best chance of melting snow on the enclosure during the daytime. I also left the roof heaters on as the outside temp is 1.4C at 06:00. I switched the ARCSAT Bypass off at the end of the night when Denise was finished on sky. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 32 24 6 17 (NNE) 174 clear none 17:00 31 22 5 13 (NNE) 187 clear none 18:00 33 21 15 68 (ENE) 145 clear none 19:00 31 20 11 79 (E) 94 clear none 20:00 31 19 6 89 (E) 120 clear none 21:00 30 19 8 85 (E) 118 clear none 22:00 33 18 3 221 (SW) 123 clear none 23:00 31 19 4 189 (S) 111 clear none 00:00 32 17 1 214 (SW) 89 clear none 01:00 31 16 1 258 (WSW) 91 clear none 02:00 31 15 1 201 (SSW) 97 clear none 03:00 32 14 2 237 (WSW) 89 clear none 04:00 32 20 4 234 (SW) 114 clear none 05:00 31 18 6 180 (S) 115 clear none 06:00 33 9 4 190 (S) 83 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
