I delayed opening because of a ßrainstorm before sunset that left some lingering traces around, but we did get going during evening twilight so very little time was lost. I checked on DIS contamination (red is excellent, blue is about half usable and still slowly improving) and I did some tests of KOSMOS disperser stickage at different rotations (I triggered three sticks but did not find a clear pattern). ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:56 ecamera 383( 394) -4 36 12.9 14.7 14.2 14.4 13.7 ND4 0.83 00:28 khigh 315( 1233) 57 38 11.7 11.7 12.3 11.4 11.6 - 0.91 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 61 44 11 244 (WSW) 613 mstly cldy none 17:00 56 44 10 296 (WNW) 634 cloudy rain 18:00 58 42 4 264 (W) ptly cldy lt rain 19:00 57 42 12 274 (W) 639 mstly clr none 20:00 55 42 14 294 (WNW) 682 clear none 21:00 56 42 12 301 (WNW) 614 clear none 22:00 56 39 13 270 (W) 501 clear none 23:00 55 39 8 268 (W) 440 clear none 00:00 55 40 8 294 (WNW) 498 clear none 01:00 54 41 8 270 (W) 531 clear none 02:00 53 42 7 270 (W) 530 clear none 03:00 53 42 3 257 (WSW) 563 mstly clr none 04:00 53 42 7 314 (NW) 678 ptly cldy none 05:00 53 41 9 307 (NW) 610 ptly cldy none 06:00 53 42 6 265 (W) 587 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
