Observing Specialist: C.Gray and R.McMillan
Not a bad first night of shake down! We had mostly clear skies for the night, but terrible seeing.
Tasks accomplished:
- test slews (one motion error at alt 17 moving down, behaved better on later slews)
- twilight flats with ARCTIC for throughput
- DIS contamination and focus checks (red is great!  blue is... half usable?)
- coarse collimation adjustment with ARCTIC
- throughput measurements with ARCTIC (poor seeing and very thin haze on IRSC)
There was a motion error at dawn at an alt of 30 deg when I was slewing down. An init addressed the issue. While the mirror covers were fine during check out, then didn't close at dawn and I needed to reset them.
