We had clouds on and off all night. Seeing was decent but unstable at the start of the night and got worse over time. NICFPS was unresponsive when the CU03 observer tried to change NFS, with error: "NFS setting Error: 0x455252". I restarted the NICPFS ICS program and reconnected the Z drive, twice because the first time I got a "target is not connected" error. The second time it came back happy. NICFPS images started coming back all black around 23:35, nicfps expose init brought them back. When switching ports to NA1, the tertiary failed to clamp with an LMSTOP error. Easy fixes didn't work, but Russet homed the tertiary and then hunted for the port, and we were able to get back on sky (see PR2150 for more info). In the morning when I went to command the mirror covers closed from TUI they didn't close, and commanding them from TUI didn't work after resetting them. I tried twice and then I closed them manually. While doing fills I noticed that the NA1 eyelid was stuck open; TUI said it was closed so I cycled it open and then closed via TUI, which closed it. After that I tried the mirror covers again and they opened and closed normally. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UW07 ECHELLE T/H 01:14 01:52 Tertiary position error, PR2150 ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:42 NICFPS 439( 1985) 104 62 19.2 23.2 23.0 23.3 20.3 H2-2.12 0.89 01:04 ecamera 405( 120) 183 75 16.3 16.4 17.1 16.3 16.4 Clear 2.04 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 72 44 1 165 (SSE) 1084 mstly cldy none 17:00 74 43 2 184 (S) 1004 mstly cldy none 18:00 74 37 11 243 (WSW) 1179 mstly cldy none 19:00 77 43 7 187 (S) 1068 mstly cldy none 20:00 70 42 16 133 (SE) 826 mstly clr none 21:00 67 41 19 128 (SE) 760 mstly clr none 22:00 66 46 18 140 (SE) 1167 ptly cldy none 23:00 66 46 19 133 (SE) 1285 mstly clr none 00:00 64 44 20 136 (SE) 1239 mstly clr none 01:00 62 51 22 145 (SE) 1640 ptly cldy none 02:00 62 52 13 149 (SSE) 1734 ptly cldy none 03:00 64 45 20 178 (S) 1577 mstly cldy none 04:00 65 46 21 195 (SSW) 922 mstly clr none 05:00 64 46 14 179 (S) 978 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
