The clouds were really bad tonight! Clouds and virga on the radar at sunset. Opened a little after 22:00 when the radar cleared, closed up again close to midnight when the radar came back. It cleared up (radar and clouds) for a little bit after changeover, but after 03:20 we weren't able to get anything through the clouds. We gave up at 04:35. Enclosure Optidew dewpoint sensor is behaving erratically, but Dataq still ticking away at 05:11. Happy summer solstice! ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:21 tcamera 306( 1468) 15 34 18.3 20.0 20.0 19.7 18.6 Ks 1.63 01:40 ecamera 368( 151) 94 73 17.8 17.8 18.3 17.8 17.6 ND1 0.76 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 71 37 16 223 (SW) 1833 mstly cldy none 17:00 74 37 18 254 (WSW) 2328 mstly cldy none 18:00 71 36 19 269 (W) 2226 mstly cldy none 19:00 69 35 16 252 (WSW) 2008 mstly cldy none 20:00 67 36 13 252 (WSW) 2140 mstly cldy none 21:00 66 36 12 263 (W) 2054 ptly cldy none 22:00 66 36 12 275 (W) 1734 mstly clr none 23:00 65 36 10 261 (W) 1663 mstly cldy none 00:00 65 36 14 259 (W) 1599 mstly cldy none 01:00 65 36 13 267 (W) 1780 ptly cldy none 02:00 63 36 11 262 (W) 1770 mstly cldy none 03:00 64 33 9 264 (W) 1554 mstly cldy none 04:00 63 32 8 271 (W) 1309 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
