The night started with elevated dust. Again. However, we only had a short delay before opening. Things were mostly clear until storms started blowing out from Texas and the clouds came in. I thought we were totally shot for the night when we closed a little after midnight, but we were able to get a sucker hole! UV02 was able to get a little bit of time before dust and humidity became too high. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:53 kosmos 330( 1076) 209 78 10.0 16.0 15.9 16.0 14.4 -- 1.10 20:53 kosmos 330( 1076) 209 78 10.0 16.0 15.9 16.0 14.4 -- 1.10 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 7 267 (W) 3608 clear dust 17:00 10 241 (WSW) 3590 clear dust 18:00 12 261 (W) 3659 mstly clr dust 19:00 7 263 (W) 3845 mstly clr dust 20:00 6 269 (W) 3960 mstly clr dust 21:00 1 172 (S) 4097 mstly clr dust 22:00 1 218 (SW) 3907 ptly cldy dust 23:00 2 334 (NNW) 3799 ptly cldy dust 00:00 9 72 (ENE) 3439 ptly cldy dust 01:00 10 87 (E) 4306 mstly cldy dust 02:00 15 119 (ESE) 6118 mstly cldy dust 03:00 26 128 (SE) 3516 mstly cldy none 04:00 16 113 (ESE) 2709 ptly cldy none 05:00 18 88 (E) 2943 ptly cldy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
