It was very nerve wracking. But the sky was clear as the seeing was good! Unfortunately, arctic was having high read out and I needed to execute an arctic init, dropping a quad. I did not catch this during checkout as I accidentally looked at the wrong directory. However, UV01 was able to conduct their observations with three quads. I will repair the dropped quad tomorrow afternoon. arcsat crashed twice tonight. The exciting one was after the sun was up! I had to go out into the dome and manually reboot the machine and then the dome closed. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 01:34 arctic 407( 849) -10 36 10.0 7.9 8.6 7.9 8.4 sdss-r 0.80 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 18 267 (W) 3726 clear dust 17:00 14 305 (NW) 3537 clear dust 18:00 13 262 (W) 3525 clear dust 19:00 15 266 (W) 3703 clear dust 20:00 16 233 (SW) 4023 clear dust 21:00 14 240 (WSW) 4183 clear dust 22:00 16 249 (WSW) 4226 clear dust 23:00 15 244 (WSW) 4299 clear dust 00:00 11 263 (W) 3995 clear dust 01:00 10 268 (W) 3869 clear dust 02:00 5 257 (WSW) 4004 clear dust 03:00 6 306 (NW) 3944 clear dust 04:00 3 20 (NNE) 4059 clear dust 05:00 10 27 (NNE) 4001 clear dust 06:00 10 69 (ENE) 3783 clear dust Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
