Seeing was a trainwreck (~4-5"). The dust became worse as the night progressed and we closed at 22:23 for about 6 hours. However, the dust dropped below the limit around 5am and LA01 was able to get a little more time on sky. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:46 ecamera 374( -691) 314 80 10.0 -0.1 0.7 -0.4 -0.4 Clear 2.95 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 7 258 (WSW) 2417 clear none 17:00 9 93 (E) 2009 clear none 18:00 11 71 (ENE) 2683 clear none 19:00 24 79 (E) 3456 clear none 20:00 15 93 (E) 3412 clear none 21:00 24 76 (ENE) 3745 clear none 22:00 22 83 (E) 3946 clear none 23:00 21 84 (E) 4120 clear dust 00:00 15 91 (E) 5732 clear dust 01:00 13 94 (E) 6361 clear dust 02:00 13 113 (ESE) 5666 clear dust 03:00 13 78 (ENE) 5121 clear dust 04:00 18 77 (ENE) 4462 clear dust 05:00 15 87 (E) 3373 clear none 06:00 14 86 (E) 3088 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
