The instrument was at 0 deg rotation. I had previously homed the wheel when I changed the SDSS u filter and had no issues. I re-homed the wheel and that seemed to solve the issue. Clouds and then elevated dust levels kept us closed at the start of the night. Dust levels were elevated for most of the remainder of the night but we remained open. No telescope issues tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:38 arctic 346( 874) 81 63 10.0 10.2 11.2 10.0 9.1 Semrock 1.29 21:41 NA2gdr 696(38696) 81 63 10.0 10.1 11.1 9.9 8.9 Clear 1.37 03:21 arctic 403( 643) -26 61 10.0 4.0 4.9 3.7 4.1 SDSS_r 1.03 03:25 NA2gdr -1773(36226) -28 60 10.0 4.0 4.8 3.7 4.0 clear 1.29 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 11 273 (W) 889 ptly cldy none 17:00 15 193 (SSW) 978 ptly cldy none 18:00 20 236 (SW) 941 mstly cldy none 19:00 9 159 (SSE) 1832 mstly cldy none 20:00 12 108 (ESE) 2456 mstly cldy dust 21:00 5 172 (S) 2596 ptly cldy none 22:00 12 202 (SSW) 2025 ptly cldy dust 23:00 2 68 (ENE) 4955 mstly clr dust 00:00 5 8 (N) 4332 mstly clr dust 01:00 5 262 (W) 3245 mstly clr dust 02:00 1 227 (SW) 3556 mstly clr dust 03:00 1 302 (WNW) 3710 mstly clr dust 04:00 3 40 (NE) 3512 mstly clr dust 05:00 6 24 (NNE) 2485 clear none 06:00 9 47 (NE) 2167 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
