When the radar was gone and the clouds thinned a little, we tried going on sky. It was a bit of a struggle, but the first half observer did get usable data. On the switch to second half the clouds disappeared. And then came back later along with teasing dust and winds, but it never got bad enough to force us to close. Everything worked well. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:05 kosmos 250( 709) 188 76 10.0 9.9 10.2 9.7 8.6 - 1.31 01:17 kosmos 512( 795) 217 56 10.0 6.0 6.9 5.8 5.7 - 1.08 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 30 219 (SW) 1268 ptly cldy none 17:00 15 261 (W) 1088 mstly clr none 18:00 25 266 (W) 1152 mstly clr none 19:00 14 224 (SW) 1287 ptly cldy none 20:00 20 251 (WSW) 1223 mstly cldy none 21:00 20 253 (WSW) 1501 ptly cldy none 22:00 23 268 (W) 1175 ptly cldy none 23:00 19 262 (W) 1166 ptly cldy none 00:00 24 266 (W) 1092 ptly cldy none 01:00 24 276 (W) 1566 clear none 02:00 14 263 (W) 2004 clear none 03:00 13 264 (W) 3141 clear none 04:00 18 265 (W) 2537 ptly cldy none 05:00 19 267 (W) 3416 ptly cldy dust 06:00 23 274 (W) 3122 ptly cldy dust Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
