It was mostly clear to partly cloudy during A-half, clearing up after midnight. The azimuth axis halted at 02:51. The az value was 146.1, alt was at 45.0. The telescope was boresight guiding with ecam, but otherwise there were no out-of-the-ordinary commands being issued as far as we could tell. >From the log window, it seemed to result from a bad status query: 2023-03-10 09:51:18 .tcc.0 0 tcc w text='STATUS failed for axis: az' 2023-03-10 09:51:18 .tcc.0 0 tcc w AxisCmdState=Halted,Tracking,NotAvailable; AxisErrCode=HaltRequested,OK,NotAvailable; AxisNoTrack=TFT 2023-03-10 09:51:19 .tcc.0 0 tcc w BadAzStatus; AzStat=146.080662,-0.002180,5185158679.20000,0x00002001; AzDTime=0.10 We reinitialized the axis and resumed science a few moments later without any further incidents. We closed up around 05:45. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:31 tcamera 450( 1027) -21 61 10.0 8.0 8.1 7.6 6.6 Ks 1.70 20:00 ecamera 514( -235) -129 38 10.0 6.1 6.6 5.8 5.9 Clear 0.92 21:46 ecamera 396( -408) -71 70 10.0 5.3 5.9 5.1 5.7 Clear 0.76 00:16 ecamera 397( -427) 188 69 10.0 4.9 5.5 4.8 4.9 ND1 0.89 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 7 270 (W) 335 mstly cldy none 17:00 7 248 (WSW) 394 mstly cldy none 18:00 5 247 (WSW) 410 mstly clr none 19:00 9 224 (SW) 579 ptly cldy none 20:00 11 227 (SW) 639 ptly cldy none 21:00 14 224 (SW) 626 ptly cldy none 22:00 13 232 (SW) 547 ptly cldy none 23:00 13 264 (W) 508 mstly clr none 00:00 12 255 (WSW) 613 clear none 01:00 9 259 (W) 566 clear none 02:00 11 239 (WSW) 649 clear none 03:00 11 254 (WSW) 598 clear none 04:00 13 264 (W) 637 clear none 05:00 17 266 (W) 658 clear none 06:00 15 263 (W) 701 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
