Observing Specialist: A.Townsend
At checkout, gcam needed hub startNubs & init and ARCTIC had high constant quads, necessitating a quad drop recovery. APOLLO was also unhappy this afternoon because Houston got powered down and Russet had to come to site to troubleshoot.
We had a dust storm this afternoon and into the evening. The dust counts came down but winds stayed up until after 02:00. We got on sky for a little while with marginal wind speeds before they got too high again and we had to close around 04:30. We gave up for the night not long after.
Wind speeds maxed out a little over 50mph and 1-micron dust got up over 15,000 counts.
Temperatures dropped from about 10C in the afternoon to -4C in the morning, humidity rose from 30% to 70%.
