We had some trouble with clouds throughout the night with some threat of radar that kept dissipating before it got to us, so we were able to stay open. The clouds were troublesome as we got closer to midnight so instead of using the eyepiece we did a tour of galaxies with KOSMOS imaging, which was a fun treat! CU01 finished up a little early and donated a little extra time to JH06. Temperatures from about 8C in the evening down to 4C in the morning, humidity from 25 to 40% ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:46 klow 326( 682) 270 67 10.0 7.6 7.2 7.5 5.6 -- 1.20 21:02 klow 316( 565) 256 38 10.0 4.9 5.5 4.7 4.8 -- 1.36 00:02 ecamera 446( -367) -5 54 10.0 5.0 5.5 5.1 5.3 ND1 0.95 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 12 264 (W) 1305 ptly cldy none 17:00 11 248 (WSW) 1194 ptly cldy none 18:00 9 211 (SSW) 1235 mstly clr none 19:00 10 199 (SSW) 1320 mstly clr none 20:00 11 204 (SSW) 1421 mstly clr none 21:00 15 205 (SSW) 1943 mstly clr none 22:00 16 215 (SW) 2296 mstly cldy none 23:00 16 241 (WSW) 1833 mstly cldy none 00:00 16 265 (W) 1594 mstly cldy none 01:00 16 266 (W) 1573 ptly cldy none 02:00 17 266 (W) 1574 mstly clr none 03:00 15 264 (W) 1631 mstly clr none 04:00 13 267 (W) 1529 mstly clr none 05:00 16 269 (W) 1449 mstly clr none 06:00 19 269 (W) 1396 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
