This cost no telescope time. There were more clouds than the forecast anticipated, and also radar getting close, so I closed the covers for a period during first half. During second half the clouds improved, but seeing was not so hot. Aside from the ARCTIC ion pump, everything worked well and the Colorado class got a good introduction to observing. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:21 tcamera 435( 697) 43 64 10.0 1.4 2.8 1.9 1.9 Ks 1.18 20:11 ecamera 399( -451) -94 36 10.0 3.8 4.5 3.7 3.8 Clr 1.29 00:30 klow 401( 471) 84 72 10.0 1.6 3.1 2.3 2.4 - 2.53 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 14 253 (WSW) 1329 mstly clr none 17:00 13 227 (SW) 1261 mstly clr none 18:00 8 277 (W) 1265 ptly cldy none 19:00 10 256 (WSW) 1395 ptly cldy none 20:00 14 221 (SW) 1417 mstly cldy none 21:00 18 254 (WSW) 1307 ptly cldy none 22:00 15 267 (W) 1434 mstly clr none 23:00 12 277 (W) 1532 mstly clr none 00:00 8 296 (WNW) 1458 ptly cldy none 01:00 12 335 (NNW) 1350 ptly cldy none 02:00 11 315 (NW) 1366 ptly cldy none 03:00 4 332 (NNW) 1363 mstly clr none 04:00 9 358 (N) 1427 clear none 05:00 9 19 (NNE) 1440 clear none 06:00 7 9 (N) 1521 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
