Dust calmed down around 19:00, wind came down almost enough for a little while but we got totally clouded out too, and then the wind speeds picked back up. We maxed out at a little over 50mph gusts. We haven't gotten any snow yet as of 05:30 but we weren't able to open at all. Temperatures were 4.5C in the afternoon and fell to -2.2C by morning; humidity rose from 20 to 40%. No telescope or instrument problems. Winds are mostly SW so I left the dome parked East. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 35 220 (SW) 7506 clear dust 17:00 36 218 (SW) 7903 clear dust 18:00 29 225 (SW) 6509 mstly clr dust 19:00 28 241 (WSW) 3643 mstly clr none 20:00 26 238 (WSW) 2231 ptly cldy none 21:00 23 233 (SW) 1384 cloudy none 22:00 24 234 (SW) 1147 cloudy none 23:00 31 217 (SW) 900 cloudy none 00:00 31 223 (SW) 826 cloudy none 01:00 33 218 (SW) 865 cloudy none 02:00 26 227 (SW) 1032 cloudy none 03:00 33 220 (SW) 937 cloudy none 04:00 43 224 (SW) 926 mstly cldy none 05:00 40 228 (SW) 669 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
