Observing Specialist: A.Townsend
we started a few minutes late because the winds were gusting up to about 45mph before sunset. They calmed down a little, but we had a lot of clouds to observe through. We stoped trying at 22:30 when NM08 couldn't even see a 6th mag star on the guider and we started to get nearby radar returns. We were totally clouded out for the rest of the night, with nearby radar, and wind gust speeds picking up a little by the end of the night. We called it at 03:30 with the river of clouds on the satellite showing no sign of improving.
The DD02 training session did get to do some in-dome cals and instrument practice, but unfortunately not on sky.
Temperatures fell from 4C at the start of the night to about 0C in the morning, humidity was low all night, 25-30%.
