Checkout went fine except I needed to do a starNubs on gcam to get it working. I then had an issue with ARCTIC still thinking it was reading out an image. I tried restarting the nubs and also an arcticexpose, but that didn't fix the issue. The last resort was the dreaded init, which of course dropped a quad. I notified tonights observers, first half was using LL amp and the second half was going to see if they could move their field to avoid the upper left quad and still use quad mode. No problems tonight ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:40 arctic 155( 953) 140 21 5.2 7.9 6.8 7.1 6.2 SII 1.41 17:41 NA2gdr -2274(35725) 140 21 5.3 7.9 6.8 7.1 6.2 clear 1.89 18:40 arctic 313( 1025) 136 30 5.8 6.1 6.0 5.4 5.8 SII 1.22 18:43 NA2gdr -2363(35636) 136 30 6.1 6.1 6.0 5.4 5.8 clear 1.39 20:08 arctic 338( 993) 134 43 4.9 5.1 5.6 4.6 5.1 SDSS_g 1.10 20:09 NA2gdr -1119(36880) 134 43 4.9 5.1 5.6 4.5 5.1 clear 1.15 22:23 arctic 376( 1057) 58 40 6.6 5.7 6.3 5.9 6.3 SDSS_r 0.89 22:25 NA2gdr -3100(34899) 57 40 6.4 5.6 6.3 5.9 6.2 clear 1.23 00:22 arctic 311( 951) -175 70 5.3 5.2 5.9 4.9 5.2 4170 0.89 00:23 NA2gdr -2370(35629) -175 70 5.2 5.2 5.8 4.9 5.1 clear 1.06 05:43 APOLLO 375( 1629) 45 66 4.2 3.8 4.4 3.7 4.2 -- 1.90 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 42 17 3 215 (SW) 207 ptly cldy none 17:00 42 17 1 279 (W) 199 mstly clr none 18:00 41 19 3 125 (SE) 285 mstly clr none 19:00 43 17 4 186 (S) 303 mstly clr none 20:00 42 18 5 183 (S) 283 mstly clr none 21:00 42 8 8 183 (S) 279 mstly clr none 22:00 44 8 10 161 (SSE) 275 mstly clr none 23:00 44 3 11 157 (SSE) 167 clear none 00:00 44 1 7 174 (S) 53 clear none 01:00 42 2 12 148 (SSE) 65 clear none 02:00 42 2 10 172 (S) 48 clear none 03:00 40 6 13 147 (SSE) 89 clear none 04:00 40 6 14 142 (SE) 74 clear none 05:00 39 13 10 154 (SSE) 97 clear none 06:00 40 14 11 158 (SSE) 124 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
