I delayed opening until the mirrors were erll below freezing and the wind was below 15 mph, although it did play with that limit for a while. When the humidity rose I closed up and did some in-dome work. The forecast said humidity should drop after 3 am, but when there was blowing fog at 4 am I decided it was time to give up. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:18 arctic 277( 613) 2 63 -2.7 -1.4 -2.0 -2.1 -2.5 SDSS_r 0.73 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 30 17 4 327 (NNW) 138 clear none 17:00 27 20 7 338 (NNW) 204 clear none 18:00 26 20 8 2 (N) 170 clear none 19:00 26 20 6 357 (N) clear none 20:00 28 18 11 354 (N) 171 clear none 21:00 28 18 13 9 (N) 190 clear none 22:00 28 18 9 328 (NNW) 170 clear none 23:00 26 21 5 358 (N) clear humid 00:00 24 23 3 36 (NE) clear humid 01:00 24 22 7 357 (N) clear humid 02:00 23 23 3 290 (WNW) clear humid 03:00 24 23 9 336 (NNW) clear humid 04:00 23 23 8 337 (NNW) mstly cldy fog Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
