We were able to punch through fragmented clouds a little bit with APOLLO, but more moved in around 18:00 which made observing with KOSMOS difficult. We stuck it out trying to observe but stopped about 20:15. In B-half, we didn't open at all, and gave up at 04:40 when the weather showed no hope of clearing. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:10 APOLLO 500( 2105) -10 42 7.8 10.9 9.6 10.4 9.3 530 1.20 18:41 kosmos 278( 1038) 159 58 8.1 8.7 8.6 8.3 8.2 -- 1.33 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 49 37 7 273 (W) 254 ptly cldy none 17:00 46 37 5 273 (W) 193 mstly cldy none 18:00 46 35 9 272 (W) 107 mstly cldy none 19:00 47 33 12 299 (WNW) 90 cloudy none 20:00 47 38 7 254 (WSW) 243 cloudy none 21:00 47 39 8 258 (WSW) 370 cloudy none 22:00 46 39 14 215 (SW) 360 cloudy none 23:00 46 39 12 210 (SSW) 671 cloudy none 00:00 47 36 11 211 (SSW) 291 cloudy none 01:00 46 39 13 206 (SSW) 702 cloudy none 02:00 46 39 12 259 (W) 722 cloudy none 03:00 46 39 11 247 (WSW) 293 cloudy none 04:00 46 39 12 236 (SW) 405 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
