I need about 2.5hrs to do the full pointing model. I started telescope fans to cool the telescope at this point. I opened at 03:10, got the telescope focused, and started a 100 point pointing model at 03:25. Bad pts 8 47 Humidity went over closure limit and I had to abort pointing model with only 48 (with 2 bad) points. Engineering Tasks completed (marked X) X 1. Reset axis controllers X 2. Zero Rotator X 3. Collimation check (if weather allows) - did any mirrors move or actuators not move? Home mirrors? X 4. Pointing model / Fix Pointing (if weather allows) -46 point model taken but not reduced 5. Throughput - if photometric (yeah right) 6. DIS X - contamination check - focus checks (if weather allows) 7. KOSMOS X - disperser wheel check X - kcamera focus check (if weather allows) - collimator / spectragraph focus check (before temperatures get significantly colder) X 8. M2 and M3 parameter changes for winter MOFF=0 X 9. DATAQ and stripchart-mac Verify connected and still recording at 24 hours Check memory usage and restart strip chart graphs if needed. Restart parallels machine if needed X 10. Test domemac screen in dark dome. Does ND filter need any further adjustment) - power cycle and make sure splash screen is not too bright - I think filter is fine 11. Test Tspec rotation (Aux Tank fills) - I did the Monday fill via mounting instrument, sorry. 12. Verify scat is working on ObsA to your satisfaction (see Gordon’s instructions). - I may not be the best person to test this, maybe Russet or Amanda, who I think has been working with Gordon already on this. X 13. Test TUI3 on guest network with various actions (guide frames, log window, scripts, etc) - tested on Windows laptop X 14. New wiki - have all pages been migrated to new wiki? NO, only a few from what I see. The Telescope and Instrument information appears in the new web pages but some of those pages still need to be created yet. 15. Obs1 - Any personal or shared files that can/should be moved to ObsA? All of my personal files are off from Obs1. I know I migrated some shared files but I don't know if there are other shared files that may need migration. 16. Obs3 - Any personal or shared files that can/should be moved to ObsB? (Access with VNC or ssh) - Do you need to request Shane migrate the VM for instrument blocks to ObsB or a new VM? Any other specialized VMs like this around? 17. Domemac - Are there any apps or files that may be needed that are not there (is /export/images mounted?) - specialized TUI catalogs of eyepiece viewing? 18. Can any in dome Apollo training be done? 19. November 3 is the NMSU safety inspection tour by EH&S. Is your area prepared? (No visible chemicals, extension cords, frayed cords, trip hazards, unsafe or flammable items on top of cabinets or shelves, etc) 20.
