I get a able to negotiate port 22 error. On Obs1 I am able to log into the account. This seems to be an issue with ObsA. Restarted the following Hub TCC Az axis drive controller Alt axis drive controller NA2 rotator drive controller Zero'ed Rotator +0.0390 DIS Pinhole images for Russet I opened at 20:25 to cool. Humidity was around 80%, and you could feel the humidity but the sky was ok to open at this point (It was kinda dicey at 19:00). I mounted KOSMOS to do closed dome tests, even though we were open (to cool for S-H). Sky wasn't photometric for throughput measurements. After doing the KOSMOS disperser move test for two different rotation angles I decided to just write a set of commands to run with the TUI run_command widget. I set a 3 sec delay between moves. I then found a bug in TUI 3.1.3 on ObsA where I cannot use the Run_Command widget and get it to load a pre-written sequence of commands, nothing shows up in the widget. I was able to run it with no problems on Obs1. Russet did the Shack-Hartmann tests to check collimation, then a pointing test with NA2 and NA1. Pointing looked good. Russet also set the MOFF=0 for Tert and Sec. We then slewed to high alt to home the mirrors. Russet found the position errors in Tert fairly large, in all 3 axis, which may explain the recent pointing problem. Russet did the collimation and pointing checks again with good results. Radar was showing up in Donna Ana county to our west and the humidity was climbing again. I continiued testing the disperser moves for the remainder of the night, while closed. I did not test the TSPEC rotation by hand as I mounted the instrument instead to do the aux port fill this afternoon. I gave up at 05:16 with the threat of rain now approaching and in the western part of the county. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:33 shack 450( 1855) 134 60 8.7 9.7 10.1 9.1 9.1 -- 1.60 01:28 kosmos 436( 1186) 138 56 8.4 8.4 9.1 8.4 8.3 -- 1.49 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 56 39 13 186 (S) 715 mstly cldy none 17:00 54 39 9 188 (S) 633 mstly cldy none 18:00 56 41 13 185 (S) 671 mstly clr none 19:00 50 44 12 137 (SE) 1059 mstly clr none 20:00 49 44 14 135 (SE) 1107 clear none 21:00 49 44 15 135 (SE) clear none 22:00 48 43 10 129 (SE) clear none 23:00 49 43 4 150 (SSE) 819 clear none 00:00 49 38 5 243 (WSW) 735 clear none 01:00 48 42 11 173 (S) 664 clear none 02:00 48 43 11 186 (S) 757 mstly cldy none 03:00 48 44 8 190 (S) mstly cldy humid 04:00 47 44 9 215 (SW) cloudy humid 05:00 46 45 7 233 (SW) cloudy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
