During the third program of the night, the observer reported that the calstage seemed to be stuck. When I checked the status I got an error message saying there might be a wiring issue, and that I should home the calstage. The homing seemed to be successful, but when the observer tried to move again for the next set of arcs he said it would not move in. I set him up for truss arcs instead and we proceeded with the calstage seemingly stuck in the out position... until the observer change rotations, at which point it got stuck in the in position. We got gravity to move the stage out and limped through one more observation before it was time to dismount KOSMOS. Near morning twilight, ARCSAT had a library support error. I struggled a little with restarting the software and gertting everything connected. Eventually it seemed to work, and pointing looked okay, so hopefully all is well. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UW02 K I/H 3:24 3:33 KOSMOS calstage lost ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:43 tcamera 465( 1734) 132 60 11.5 15.2 14.4 15.1 13.7 Ks 1.28 19:36 kosmos 121( 1062) -55 20 10.7 11.8 12.0 11.2 11.2 - 1.44 04:17 tcamera 350( 1276) -28 60 8.9 8.0 8.5 7.5 8.8 Ks 0.96 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 60 29 10 278 (W) 1565 clear none 17:00 57 27 10 294 (WNW) 1678 clear none 18:00 56 30 3 247 (WSW) 1665 clear none 19:00 52 31 5 272 (W) 1879 clear none 20:00 52 30 8 2 (N) 1595 clear none 21:00 51 28 12 356 (N) 1448 clear none 22:00 52 28 5 332 (NNW) 1533 clear none 23:00 51 30 8 329 (NNW) 1639 clear none 00:00 49 31 2 318 (NW) 2009 clear none 01:00 50 30 3 262 (W) 1935 clear none 02:00 49 30 2 235 (SW) 1871 clear none 03:00 49 31 2 188 (S) 1665 clear none 04:00 49 32 3 197 (SSW) 1623 clear none 05:00 48 33 3 209 (SSW) 1520 clear none 06:00 49 32 2 248 (WSW) 1572 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
