Opened for a few minutes at 20:00 but had to close back up again due to rising humidity and winds again. When I closed up the altitude axis controller spontaneously restarted but I was able to get it back pretty quickly with talk2boxes. Temperatures ranged from about 0C down to -5C; humidity from about 30% at sunset up to almost 90% and then back down to around 50% by the end of the night. Dome is parked east to help with the snow still stuck on the NA1 side of the dome. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:25 arctic 310( 289) 15 78 37.3 -1.3 -1.8 -1.9 -2.6 SDSS_i 0.77 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 15 308 (NW) 362 clear none 17:00 18 307 (NW) 177 clear none 18:00 14 293 (WNW) 214 clear none 19:00 7 280 (W) 412 clear none 20:00 9 275 (W) clear humid 21:00 10 276 (W) clear humid 22:00 14 296 (WNW) clear humid 23:00 13 316 (NW) clear humid 00:00 14 289 (WNW) clear none 01:00 18 304 (NW) 257 clear none 02:00 15 308 (NW) 218 clear none 03:00 17 299 (WNW) 181 clear none 04:00 14 293 (WNW) 199 clear none 05:00 11 302 (WNW) 192 clear none 06:00 13 320 (NW) 172 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
