Scattered clouds on and off throughout the night, and higher wind speeds closer to morning, but we were able to keep observing all night! During dusk LA01 observations, the telescope stopped twice. The first time, a tracking command was issued and the telescope stopped with this error: 2022-09-17 01:53:57 .tcc.3 999 tcc f text="Sub-command(s) failed: STATUS: Killed by immediate priority command 'INIT'; STATUS: Killed by immediate priority command 'INIT'; STATUS: Killed by immediate priority command 'INIT'" And the second time the track failed in the middle: 2022-09-17 02:22:09 .tcc.2 999 tcc f text="Could not start the slew: Slew computation did not converge in 30 iterations; initializing all axes" 2022-09-17 02:22:09 .tcc.2 999 tcc f Text="one or more critical axes cannot make it"; AxisNoSlew=TTT; RejectedAxisErrCode=NoRestart,NoRestart,NoRestart In the morning we had one more incident where the azimuth stopped with “motor control buffer empty” and no other errors. There was a concurrent large amplitude wiggle on the azimuth error stripchart. We recovered from each of these by re-initializing the axes, and everything seemed fine. HSAR is disconnected from the telescope and parked near the railing. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:16 ecamera 387( 58) 321 28 15.2 14.8 15.3 14.8 15.0 ND3 1.19 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 66 43 23 226 (SW) 485 mstly clr none 17:00 65 44 15 215 (SW) 655 mstly clr none 18:00 63 44 16 221 (SW) 849 mstly clr none 19:00 60 44 16 218 (SW) 1202 mstly clr none 20:00 60 44 16 212 (SSW) 1123 ptly cldy none 21:00 60 41 17 232 (SW) 739 ptly cldy none 22:00 59 41 15 217 (SW) 636 mstly clr none 23:00 60 40 13 249 (WSW) 455 ptly cldy none 00:00 59 39 9 237 (WSW) 419 mstly clr none 01:00 58 39 13 204 (SSW) 455 mstly clr none 02:00 58 42 19 213 (SSW) 514 mstly clr none 03:00 56 43 14 196 (SSW) 561 mstly clr none 04:00 55 43 15 204 (SSW) 626 mstly clr none 05:00 55 43 21 214 (SW) 618 mstly clr none 06:00 55 44 23 206 (SSW) 687 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
