I then switched to KOSMOS to take some comparison images with DIS. The first KOSMOS BD33 image had the blue disperser in place instead of red, as I forgot to click the apply button. WIth DIS, HeNeAr_B4000_R300.0009 had the eyelid closed. So I ran into an odd bug in TUI 2.6.0 when I was trying to guide with the echelle slitviewer for NM03 program. It kept switching the selected field star to the one in the boresight, and refused to acquire the guide star. It also failed when I tried boresight guiding, refusing to acquire the guide star. Both stars were plenty bright. When I tried guiding from TUI 2.6.1a, things worked fine. Probably not a big deal since we are migrating our observers over to the more recent TUI version but something to note. We did pickup science for NM03 and NM01. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:20 kosmos 420( 1158) 261 65 15.2 15.8 16.4 15.3 15.2 -- 1.79 22:57 ecamera 394( -1) 158 80 14.4 14.1 14.9 14.0 14.1 ND1 0.95 00:11 tcamera 412( 1263) 22 42 14.1 13.6 14.2 13.5 13.8 Ks 1.00 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 65 47 11 87 (E) 858 ptly cldy none 17:00 66 47 12 106 (ESE) 827 ptly cldy none 18:00 66 47 8 97 (E) 848 ptly cldy none 19:00 64 47 12 83 (E) 927 mstly clr none 20:00 61 47 18 79 (E) 1033 mstly clr none 21:00 59 47 11 81 (E) 1312 clear none 22:00 59 47 16 79 (E) 1149 clear none 23:00 58 48 17 75 (ENE) 1254 clear none 00:00 57 49 19 71 (ENE) 1656 clear none 01:00 57 49 18 76 (ENE) 1760 clear none 02:00 55 49 20 77 (ENE) mstly clr none 03:00 56 48 22 74 (ENE) 1656 mstly clr none 04:00 55 48 21 85 (E) 1778 mstly clr none 05:00 54 47 22 73 (ENE) 1656 mstly clr none 06:00 54 45 23 72 (ENE) 1175 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
