We opened at 22:30 and observed through the clouds which were pretty bad all night--NM07 did a great job of finding bright stars in gaps! We closed for about an hour at 03:30 due to nearby radar. The original B-half observer for UW08 was sick and unable to observe tonight (get better soon!) and NM07 was able to use the time instead. The secondary was fine until 00:20 when it reset, but we'd gotten to focus at the start of observing and the bright stars seemed to suffer more from clouds than any defocus problems. I did rehome the secondary while we were closed, but it reset again before we reopened and so we continued observing with it in that state. We stopped early in twilight because the clouds were getting worse. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:43 ecamera 446( 414) 1 61 16.6 17.4 17.8 17.4 17.6 ND2 0.82 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 54 48 21 72 (ENE) 1445 mstly cldy rain 17:00 63 52 2 90 (E) 540 mstly cldy none 18:00 61 48 3 11 (N) 641 mstly cldy lt rain 19:00 65 46 5 354 (N) 549 mstly cldy none 20:00 63 45 1 298 (WNW) 607 mstly cldy none 21:00 63 45 6 4 (N) 577 mstly cldy none 22:00 63 43 10 56 (NE) 542 mstly cldy none 23:00 62 44 2 270 (W) 549 mstly cldy none 00:00 62 45 1 262 (W) 636 mstly cldy none 01:00 61 45 2 309 (NW) 604 mstly cldy none 02:00 61 45 6 212 (SSW) 609 mstly cldy none 03:00 60 45 2 198 (SSW) 579 mstly cldy none 04:00 59 43 5 188 (S) 379 mstly cldy none 05:00 60 41 4 190 (S) 385 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
