I also had motion errors in alt during my initial move from 59.5deg to 75. I moved it in 5 deg steps and that seemed to work. After I got to 75 deg I was able to slew normally again without the motion errors. I know sometimes we have issues moving when the telescope has been parked at around 60deg alt. I delayed opening for about an hour to allow for the storm clouds to clear out. We had some rain showers earlier in the afternoon. Fire panel had an alarm go off (NAC fault in zone 1) at 22:58. I silenced the alarm. Carl tried using sub-frame with the KOSMOS slitviewer and we saw the following error 2022-07-30 10:18:53 CU01.Carl 14 kcam w debug="camera shape does not agree with dark, cam=(1024, 512) dark=(512, 512)" 2022-07-30 10:18:53 CU01.Carl 14 kcam f text="Traceback (most recent call last):" May not be too surprising as I had issues with using a sub-frame when I was working on the focus script too. It behaved in odd ways when I tried to do a sub-frame back then as well. Sub-framing is something Carl felt that they would need in the future. The fire alarm panel went off again around 03:00 (I think). It clear the fault on it's own before I could silence the alarm or read it. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:33 kosmos 275( 1154) 178 63 15.1 14.5 15.0 14.4 14.7 -- 1.10 01:23 ecamera 395( 218) 78 77 15.0 14.5 14.9 14.6 14.7 ND2 0.76 03:57 khigh 403( 1259) -124 56 14.3 13.9 14.4 13.9 14.0 ND5 1.07 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 57 50 16 77 (ENE) cloudy none 17:00 54 50 19 78 (ENE) cloudy lt rain 18:00 58 50 16 112 (ESE) cloudy none 19:00 58 51 10 163 (SSE) 1540 cloudy none 20:00 58 50 16 135 (SE) 2325 mstly cldy none 21:00 60 50 13 138 (SE) 2509 ptly cldy none 22:00 60 49 17 148 (SSE) 1815 ptly cldy none 23:00 60 47 13 156 (SSE) 1566 ptly cldy none 00:00 60 48 16 144 (SE) 1715 ptly cldy none 01:00 59 49 17 127 (SE) 1819 ptly cldy none 02:00 59 48 14 139 (SE) 1553 ptly cldy none 03:00 58 48 17 142 (SE) 1396 ptly cldy none 04:00 58 47 15 164 (SSE) 1213 ptly cldy none 05:00 56 48 14 153 (SSE) 1202 ptly cldy none 06:00 56 48 12 160 (SSE) 1292 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
